Most heated motorcycle gloves favour functionality over stylebut it doesn’t have to be that way. What if you could cram a fully integrated heating circuit and a state-of-the-art battery into a classic rancher-style goatskin glove with a CE safety rating? We did; it’s called the Forno . Named after the Italian word for ‘oven,’ the Motone Forno glove is guaranteed to keep your digits defrosted in style. Stretched to gauntlet length for cold conditions, its supple goatskin leather chassis features a pleated back, a padded palm, and a hook-and-loop closure at the wrist. A waterproof membrane shrugs off light rain, while a 3M™ Thinsulate™ liner keeps things toasty even when the gloves are (switched) off. With touchscreen-compatible tips on the thumb and forefinger, the Forno has everything you need and nothing you don’t. An LED-powered button on the top of the wrist turns on the heat, cycles through three settings, and monitors the battery level. The battery itself hides behind a zipper at the base of the glove and charges via USB-C, eliminating the need for bulky chargers and cables. We scoured the globe to find the most state-of-the-art unit we could get our hands onit’s ultra thin with an industry-leading energy density and capacity. With a whopping 3000 mAh on hand (more than any other heated glove we’ve found), each glove can operate for two hours at its highest temperature, and up to eight-and-a-half hours at its lowest. Each pair of Forno gloves ships in a Motone soft bag, with a split USB-C cable that charges both batteries simultaneously.
